If you are outgoing, hardworking, willing to work in a variety of settings (warehouse and on job sites), have your own transportation, and have experience driving commercial vans, towing trailers and/or driving box trucks up to 26 feet, and love of fun and parties, we might be a great fit for you! We are seeking someone who can spend the day on their feet, can lift at least 75 pounds, and can drive a box truck up to distances of 300 miles.

Event Lead

DUTIES
• Packing, loading, and unloading equipment into a truck
• Setting up and breaking down event equipment
• Staffing and operating amusement and event equipment and attractions
• Check truck that was packed correctly and accurately matching up against the packing list before leaving the
warehouse and upon departure of the event back to the warehouse
• Warehouse tasks as needed
• Client communication of arrival 60 mins or greater arrival time
• Using the 911 portal to report broken equipment
• Required to take set up photos of all attractions and upload them to portal
• Completing post-event recap within 48 hours
• Will make sure all attractions are operating safely
• Making sure all attractions that require supervision are staffed appropriately
• Will make sure the truck cab is cleaned out upon return to the warehouse and that the keys are inside
• Must be able to manage company credit card responsibly
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for meeting at the job site or meeting at the Peabody, MA warehouse as required by the event
• Will be required to travel
• Adhere to core values
• May be required to drive a company truck to a job site
• Responsible for traveling with an event tool kit to all jobs including needed tools, tear-aid, etc.
• Call ahead to client 60 minutes prior to arrival
• Responsible for checking in with all subcontractors on event prior to their arrival
• Multiple client check-ins during the event and at the conclusion
• Inspection of every piece of equipment prior to operation
• Responsible for being the last one out of the event and doing equipment checks for left-behind equipment
• Completing post-event recap and completing within 48 hours
• Monitor unsafe weather conditions such as winds over 15mph and/or wet conditions and taking appropriate
actions and steps including documentation
• Responsible for having an anemometer in their event tool kit and knowing how to use it
• Responsible for making sure full team and staffers are in uniform and note on event recap
• Responsible for fuel, keys, truck security, tickets/tolls, and GPS
• Inspecting that equipment in the back of the truck is safely secured prior to departure
• Administering equitable break rotations
• Coordinate on-site event layout
• Check-in with any volunteers
• Onsite Inspections with State Inspector
• Must be responsible for (4) state inspections per year to maintain this level
• Complete ‘Event Recap’ sheet
• Responsible for all event lead and driver functions as needed
• Take photographs of each piece of equipment prior to operation at each event and upload to the portal
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of industry experience required
• High School diploma or GED required
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must have a DOT medical card
• Must have experience driving commercial vans, towing trailers, and/or driving non-CDL box trucks up to 26
feet in length and capable of towing company equipment and rides
• Satisfactory driving record with limited offenses
• Must be able to complete a drug screening and background check
• Must be able to speak English
• Familiarity with equipment rentals or special events required
• complete of SIOTO Advanced Inflatable Safety Operations Certificate
• Successful completion of the driver education for the event rental industry training within ARA University
• Will be required to successfully complete and obtain a Commonwealth of MA inflatable Certified
Maintenance Mechanic (Inflatables) Certification which will be used to complete onsite inspections at event
sites of large inflatables
• Ability to set up, inspect, troubleshoot, and staff a minimum of 2 specialty programs including a rock wall,
after-dark park, green screen photos, VR coaster cars, ball pit photo booth, bumper cars, amusement rides, etc.
• NAARSO Level 1 or Commonwealth of MA Certified Maintenance Mechanic (Unlimited) Certification is
obtained and used for onsite inspections at event sites and may warrant additional compensation
• Must be able to set, operate, and handle State Inspections for inspectable items like Rockwall, Trackless Train,
and Amusement Rides
• Ability to drive a box truck up to distances of 300 miles and tow trailers up to 10,000 lbs.
• Willing to work a demanding schedule including many long days, overnights, weekend work, and limited days
off during peak season
• Be able to travel overnight
• Be able to stand on feet for over 10 hours at a time and bend
• Be able to lift at least 75 pounds
• Must be able to stand and bend
• Completing the Perfect Parties USA Driving Road Test for both trucks and trailers (2 different tests)
• Satisfactory completion of all requirements for all sequential roles
All qualifications must be satisfied for title change and promotion. All qualifications must be continuously satisfied
while in the role to keep the role and correlating compensation.
